BREAKING NEWS

In a swift and forceful counter to India’s missile strikes on May 7, 2025, Pakistan’s military claims to have shot down five Indian aircraft that allegedly violated Pakistani airspace.

According to security sources, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) also downed an Israeli-made Heron drone and destroyed multiple Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC).

This marks the most aggressive aerial exchange between the nuclear-armed neighbours since the 2019 Balakot incident.

What Was Shot Down?

Security sources have provided the following breakdown:

  • 3 Rafale fighter jets — India’s pride and joy, shot out of the sky.

  • 1 MiG-29 — A Cold War warrior still in service.

  • 1 SU-30 Flanker — India’s heavyweight, reportedly taken down inside Pakistan’s airspace.

  • 1 Heron drone — A high-end Israeli reconnaissance drone allegedly conducting surveillance.

These shootdowns, if confirmed, would be a massive blow to India’s air superiority narrative and represent a direct military escalation.

Ground Game: Posts Destroyed

In parallel, multiple Indian forward posts on the LoC were reportedly destroyed, with precision strikes from Pakistani artillery and drone-guided munitions. The Pakistani military described its actions as “a befitting reply to enemy aggression.”

The Spin War Begins

India has yet to officially confirm the aircraft losses. However, social media has exploded with unverified footage of fireballs in the sky over disputed areas, fuelling speculation.

Meanwhile, Pakistani military channels are pushing the narrative of “defensive valour and operational dominance.”

The Mullet Take

If true, Pakistan’s claims represent not just a tactical win — but a psychological coup.
